Creating art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved to draw, paint, and experiment with various mediums. Throughout my education, I continued to pursue any opportunity to create and learn about art and in 2010, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This allowed me to delve into the works of great masters and explore the historical significance of art, but I always felt a lingering desire to create my own pieces.
As I moved beyond school, the pressures of work and everyday life gradually overshadowed my creative pursuits. In the process, I lost touch with the joy that art once brought me and struggled to find my sense of purpose. It was during this challenging period, and the self-reflection that followed, that I came to realize the need to reclaim my creative passion. I rediscovered art not merely as a hobby, but as a path to healing.
Through this journey, I am continually reminded that art is not just a skill—it’s a powerful means of self-expression and an essential tool for healing. Each piece I create is a reflection of my growth, a commitment to living authentically, and a celebration of the journey itself. As I embrace both the struggles and triumphs of my artistic path, I feel empowered to navigate life more fully and with a renewed sense of purpose.
